Important Update – November 20, 2025
As of 5:00pm today, the EGACC Election Committee has received only 7 nominations for the vacating board positions. The candidate names are listed alphabetically below by last name:

Per Article XIII Section 5(e) of the EGACC Bylaws:
“If the number of nominees is less than or equal to the required announced positions, the due date of nominations shall be extended to the 27th of November and the date of the election shall be extended to the 2nd Saturday of December. If still the number of candidates is less than or equal to the required positions, they shall be accepted as elected members and no election shall be held.”
As such, the dates below have been revised to reflect this extension period.

Qualifications for EGACC Board of Directors
- Be a member of the center for a minimum of three years.
- Possess the necessary leadership, management and technical skills either through education or experience.
- Possession of a High School Diploma or higher.
- Must have a strong command of speaking, reading, and writing in the English language.
- Be committed to supporting the Center.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to speak fluently in either Pashto or Dari.
- Must not be above the age of 62.
- Must be healthy and of sound mind and reason.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check, with no felonies.
- Must adhere to Islamic morals and customs.
Nomination Process
- Nominations shall reach the Elections Committee in writing no later than 5:00PM on November 20, 2025.
- The nominees for open positions shall meet the requirements stated in the EGACC Bylaws.
- The Election Committee as per the committee procedures shall solicit acceptance of nomination from the nominee and report the list of nominees and their qualification to the Board of Directors.
- Nominations may be rejected if the nominee lacks qualification, honesty, personality, behavior or workmanship or if he/she has violated the principles of community Center.
- If the number of nominees is less than or equal to the required announced positions, the due date of nomination shall be extended to November 27 and the date of election shall be extended to the second Saturday of December. If still the number of candidates is less than or equal to the required positions, they shall be accepted as elected members and no election will be held.
Nomination forms must sent via email to election@masjidaltawheed.com no later than 5:00pm on Thursday November 20th.
Voter Eligibility
Eligibility to vote at any election is subject to a minimum of six months membership prior to the beginning of the event.
Commencement of the 2026 – 2028 EGACC Board of Directors
After completion of election, the following shall take place:
- The term of the newly elected Officers will start on January 1, 2025.
- The period from the announcement of the election results to the 1st of January of the New Year will serve as a transition period between the departing officers and the incoming officers.
- The outgoing officers will transfer any documents, records and knowledge to the new incoming officers prior to January 1st.
